The dangers of AI Companions

AI companions are available to children. These companions such as ANI or AI chatbots found within online platforms are capable of generating sexually suggestive content, highlighting the failure of responsibility by both technology developers and policymakers.

Exposing young, impressionable minds to romanticised, hyper-sexualised AI companions distorts their understanding of relationships, consent, intimacy, and self-worth, and is doing so without any guardrails or transparency. 

Lack of regulation

There is a lack of regulations on AI companions and the potential harm to children and teens is significant.

Children deserve more

Our children deserve a digital environment that protects their growth and cognitive development not one that profits from their vulnerability.
